Sylvia is a passionate sonic storyteller. She loves to challenge the norm and experiment with unexpected instrumentation. After hearing her musical idols' works attached to visual media, she realized the potential in colliding her sonic aptitude with her love of film and video games. From 2018-2022, Sylvia worked as an in-house, full time composer at Bleeding Fingers Music (co-founded by Hans Zimmer, Russell Emanuel & Steven Kofsky)

Apart from composing and producing, Sylvia is a singer-songwriter and lyricist who has penned for other artists as well as her own. She is known as a “Voice of Nature” and has been categorized as a sultry, ethereal vocalist who can be heard in scores for breathtaking docu-series such as BBC's Seven Worlds, One Planet and Apple TV’s Prehistoric Planet. She uses her versatility to her advantage to translate the wildest of creative visions into breathtaking new sounds and scores.

Sylvia is now working under her label, Pier Glass Music. Heading into 2024, she will be releasing tracks one by one under her artist name, Irlanya. Having a passion for the written word, she found an opportunity to blend her two loves together.
